Prepare your PEB visit

The better documented the certifier is, the better your PEB score will be. Without proof, the certifier must use default values, which are often more penalizing.

Document checklist to prepare

Insulation works

If insulation works were done, prepare photos of the work (showing the insulation thickness) and detailed original invoices mentioning the site address, insulation type and thickness.

Windows and frames

Prepare the window frame installation invoice to obtain the U insulation coefficient.

Property plans

If you have property plans, send them to us before the visit. This makes the certifier's job easier.

Room accessibility

The certifier must have access to all rooms. In apartments with collective heating, make sure the cellar or technical room is open. If the insulation is visible through an access hatch, make sure it is accessible.

Heating and installations

Prepare the technical sheet or installation manual of your boiler, as well as the periodic inspection certificates.

Expert tip

Don't throw anything away! Even an old technical brochure from a 1995 window can be worth a few more points than an arbitrary default value.
